We’ve all had experiences with European Wasps at some part of our lives. Whether it be during a family BBQ, or accidentally getting a bit too close to a nest that we were unaware of.
But remember that not all wasps are aggressive and it’s only the social species that are of concern as they are only trying to protect their nest.
What Are Wasps…
Wasps belong to the order Hymenoptera – This group of insects include ants, bees, wasps, sawflies and wood wasps. The Australian Museum mention that there are over 12,000 species of wasps known in Australia!!! We concentrate on the Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris) and the European Wasp (Vespula germanica). The differences are observed by the pattern of dots on their face however the treatment is the same. Not only are these species aggressive, but they also release a pheromone that stimulates the rest of the colony to attack.
What To Expect…
Expect some angry wasps for several hours after the treatment. We advise you to keep a distance for up to 24hours, however in our experiences we have found that activity will generally cease within and hour or two.

Due to the multiple nesting characteristics of wasps, there are many different ways of treating them. Some treatments include injecting a statically charged dust into the entry points of the nest which will work its way through all of the galleries to eradicate them.
Other treatments include wasp baiting where the colony may be difficult to locate or not on your property. We will also physically destroy the nest where possible. The warranty is for the destruction of the colony, so we guarantee that wasps will never return to that spot.
